Lope de Aguirre

Lope de Aguirre lived from 1510 to 27 October 1561 and was a Spanish conquistador in South America. Aguirre was renowned for his treacherous and brutal exploits, He was executed for his rebellion against the Spanish monarchy. Klaus Kinski appeared as Lope de Aguirre in the 1972 German film Aguirre, the Wrath of God, a fictionalised account of the conquistador's exploration of South America.
