Aladdin (or Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp) is a fairy tale found in the Arabian Nights about a poor but good-hearted boy who finds a lamp containing a genie, and ends up marrying a princess. The story has been retold many times and appears in many different forms and settings. One of the most famous tellings is Disney's animated film of 1992[1], which is set in a composite Middle Eastern city. In the United Kingdom Aladdin is a popular subject for pantomimes, which usually set the story in China.
