Alexander Rosenberg

Alexander Rosenberg (born 1946) is an American philosopher, atheist, and author. He holds the chair of the department of philosophy at Duke University in North Carolina. In 2011, Rosenberg published a book entitled The Atheist's Guide to Reality in which he argues that atheists should not 'waste' their time debating Christians and other theists, but rather, should dedicate their time to learning about the universe and nature. On February 1, 2013, Rosenberg formally debated Christian philosopher and apologist William Lane Craig at Purdue University on the topic, Is Faith in God Reasonable?

Dr. Rosenberg is also involved with the philosophy of Economics. In 1976, his book, Microeconomic Laws: A Philosophical Analysis was published.
