Alternate history

Alternate history is a broad genre that covers any event in history that could've happened differently. One possible scenario is the scenario of the the South winning the American Civil War. Filmmaker Kevin Willmott, a professor at the University of Kansas, made a film called CSA: Confederate States of America dealing with this subject. The author widely considered to be the best in the genre is Harry Turtledove.
