Anti-science

Anti-science attitudes are criticisms of the institution of science as being totally unworthy and unreliable. In the extreme would be the position that wherever scientific findings disagree with religious ideas, science should routinely be disregarded because, for example, "the Bible is infallible".

On the other hand, it is not always anti-Science to question a particular scientific finding. Rather, it is the essence of the scientific method that every theory should be compared with the facts; if a theory makes predictions which do not occur, most scientists would agree that the theory should be discarded or at least modified (see Falsification).

A theory which cannot be tested, or which its proponents refuse to submit to testing, would be considered pseudoscience (or junk science).
