Around the World in Eighty Days (French: Le tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours) is a novel by French author Jules Verne.

Plot

The novel follows the journey around the world of Phileas Fogg, an eccentric and wealthy man, and his valet Passepartout (meaning goes everywhere). Phileas Fogg makes a bet at the Reform Club that he can complete such a journey in eighty days, and thus pulls Passepartout through adventures in the Middle East, India, Japan, and America.
