Atheist fluff

Richard Dawkins
Richard Dawkins is one notorious example of an atheist espousing atheist fluff.

Atheist fluff is illogical and/or worthless speech or words used by atheists to either make their beliefs appear more substantial and credible or to blow off legitimate concerns and objections by creationists and theists. Although the point of this handwaving is to make atheism seem superior to its better-supported alternatives, it really is easily exposed for what it is by decently intelligent and attentive people.

Because many atheists believe themselves to be superior (intelligence-wise) to their theistic and creationist counterparts, they often resort to atheist fluff because they believe it can satisfactorily blow off alternative beliefs and facts while allowing them to not have to think about real arguments that would ultimately make them lose a debate (see also: Atheism and debate).
