Bauhaus
From Conservapedia
Bauhaus was a school for design and architecture founded 1919 in Weimar. The school relocated in 1925 to Dessau and was renowned as pioneer in modern architecture. After the Nazis became the biggest party in Dessau in local elections in 1932, the Bauhaus was forced to move to Berlin. This only lasted for a short time, and the Bauhaus dissolved itself under pressure from the Nazis in 1933. Many of the architects and artists affiliated with went into exile, many to the US where part of the Bauhaus legacy continued, particularly in Chicago.
