Bihar is a state of India. Located in the North, Bihar is the place where Buddhism was founded. The founders of Buddhism and Jainism were both born in what is now the state of Bihar.
Despite the fact that Buddhism and Jainism was founded in Bihar there is only 18,000 Buddhists and 16,000 Jains in Bihar which has a population of 83,000,000. [1]
