Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a television series that ran in the United States for seven seasons from 1997 through 2003. It is based in the fictional city of Sunnydale, California. The premise of the series was that the main character, Buffy Anne Summers, was a vampire slayer having supernatural strength. The series revolved around the lives of Buffy and her friends (the "Scooby Gang") as they progressed through high school and then to college.
