It will surely be of great interest to our readers to compare human traits with the instinctual behavior of animals. Since human beings and animals were both created by God, it's reasonable to expect some similarities of character. Dogs would not be man's best friend of they were utterly dissimilar.

It's intriguing that some species mate for life (swans?) while monogamy is otherwise rare in the animal kingdom. Ask your wife if she feel an especial affection for birds that stay with one mate their whole life. --Ed Poor Talk 07:50, 6 April 2008 (EDT)
