The chicken (Gallus gallus) is originally native to Southern Asia, particularly the jungles of India, but rapidly spread all over the world when people domesticated the animal. Chickens are raised not only for their delicious and nutritive white meat, but also for their eggs, which are themselves fried, scrambled, or used in baking.
