Conservapedia:Second example of a footnoted page
The following example shows how to implement footnotes in a Conservapedia article. This example also introduces the advanced technique of using a footnote more than once which is optional. Feel free to use the "view source" link at the top of the page to see how the footnotes were implemented.
A lake usually refers to a sizeable inland body of standing water (the term lake can also refer to a pool of other liquid). One of the origins of the word is the Greek "lakkos", meaning "pond". The world's largest lakes are in the Northern Hemisphere, and the majority of lakes are in North America.
