Conservative Studies

Conservative Studies is three things: (1) the formalized academic field for the study of conservatism, (2) the activist movement to advance the academic field, (3) the Conservative Studies[1] organization, and (4) the pop culture term for conservative news and opinion.

Conservative Studies as a pop culture term was first popularized by Rush Limbaugh in repeated references to his fictitious "Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies". The formal academic field of Conservative Studies was first pioneered by Dr. Judd Patton in a Seminar in Advanced Conservative Studies at Bellevue University. The Conservative Studies organization and the activist movement were founded by Danny Oliver.
