Creationism, Ideology, and Science is an article by Eugenie Scott which outlines the NCSE position on the teaching of evolution. She acknowledges that evolution is opposed to Young Earth Creationism, but she uses confusing terminology (such as "theistic evolutionism") to imply that evolution is compatible with Old Earth Creationism as well. She implies that major Protestant groups along with the Roman Catholic Church have accepted evolution, by being vague about which aspects of evolution she means when making the claim.
