D. C. Douglas, liberal voiceover actor who called up FreedomWorks and left a message under the name of "Lance Baxter." He referred to their workers and supporters as "mentally retarded," and asked them what happens after one of their "members does actually kill somebody."[1]

FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe released the message left by Douglas and the media picked up on the action and reported the event. Douglas, who had previously worked for the car insurance company Geico, was fired by them because of his controversial stunt. Since the media reports Douglas has been trying to erase all mention of his actions from the website Wikipedia, editing his own article and calling other editors "idiots."[2] After losing his contract with Geico, Douglas was quoted as saying,"Kibbe crossed a big ethical line."[3]
