This debate is twofold. First: If there is a conspiracy in the ranks of Biologists concerning Evolution, and second: Regardless of the truth of said conspiracy, what would be the motives. I ask that respective comments go under the respective headers. --User:Capercorn Talk contribs 22:01, 7 February 2008 (EST)

Is there a conspiracy?

No

I just don't see a bunch of science geeks participating in a vast misinformation conspiricy. --User:Capercorn Talk contribs 22:01, 7 February 2008 (EST)

I agree. It's not a conspiracy. I think that most if not all of the people who defend the theory actually do believe it. --Ben Talk 22:54, 7 February 2008 (EST)

It's scientists coming to the best logical conclusion based on available evidence. Maestro 14:37, 18 February 2008 (EST)

Wow. Whoever started this debate needs to dig out a high school textbook and go back to the chapter named, approximately, "Science as a Process." Science is not conducive to conspiracies (Love the spelling in the debate title, by the way). It's not conducive to misinformation. The scientific process is extremely rigorous and tends to hold its own as far as holding opinions that match as much of the available data as possible.--Reasonless 00:28, 24 March 2008 (EDT)

This debate was made in response to Debate:Are Young Earth Creationists detracting others from the Faith?, and the orginator's response can be found at the top of this section. --User:Capercorn Talk contribs 14:58, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

What would be the motives for such a conspiracy?

To needlessly enrage and infuriate the religous right. Or maybe they're directly guided by the hands of the Devil. Oh! That sounds like it. The entire scientific community (save a few well-guided souls) are being manipulated by the Devil to spread lies about the origin of species amongst the populace. K. If you didn't get it, that whole paragraph was tongue-in-cheek. Just adding a little disclaimer.--Reasonless 00:30, 24 March 2008 (EDT)

I can't remember where I saw it, but I once read a Creationist rant that said that Darwin and his buddies fabricated evolution as a deliberate hoax to provide an excuse for the their depraved sex lives. (Not making this up, wish I was.) --Gulik5 23:40, 16 April 2008 (EDT)

There is no conspiracy. There is only truth. Note that evolution is a science. It will have its flaws. And the evidence does suggest it. If the world is 6000 years old, why don't we have any unfossilized dinosaur bones?

According to AiG, there are... found in Iron. --User:Capercorn Talk contribs 17:53, 23 May 2008 (EDT)

I won't say it's a "conspiracy", I just think that this merely theory is becomes a tool of indoctrination in public schools, that only the evolution theory is allowed. Aren't schools supposed to encourage students to learn things from different angles and different theories? What they should do is at least teach both creation and evolution to the students, and let THEM decide which one to believe, NOT the school decide for them. By the way, I am really tired of the idea of evolution is science and creation is a religion. They are both religions or theories, you can only believe them.

Anyway, evolution theory now is being used as a tool to make way to promote atheism or humanism, and the whole godless culture. There is a whole different way to look at stuffs if there is no God. (I don't believe in "theistic evolution").

By the way, why there isn't any evidence that support creation? Well, since the scientific field is dominated by evolutionists, and they already have the presupposition that creation is not science, so even evidences available won't be admitted as evidences, and so there is "no evidence".

What many people don't realize is, like many things, science itself is neutral, but the way to deal with it can still be manipulated to fit some agendas. When there is manipulation, there is bias.Kmcheng 16:52, 27 December 2008 (EST)

-No evidence because creationism has no proof. It is a half baked attemt by the christian right to pervert the scientific process with un-confirmable fiction. JakF 1-16-09
