The Eagles were an immensely popular rock band in the 1970s who had multiple hit songs, such as "Hotel California" and "Take It Easy." They broke up in 1980 reportedly due to internal disagreements, but reunited in 1994 and continued performing until 2015.

The Eagles were once so popular that their reference in a song to "standin' on the corner in Winslow, Arizona" inspired 100,000 people to visit the remote former rail hub.[1]
