Eckhart Tolle considers himself to be a "spiritual teacher"[1] and has sold a significant number of popular-type books.

There are eyebrow raising differences between his spiritual reality and the spiritual reality of the Gospel. Most alarming of all may be that many Christians remain unconcerned.[2][3]

Liberal television show host Oprah Winfrey has called his book A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose "one of the most important books of our times."[4]

He was born in Germany, educated at London University and Cambridge University, and lived most of his life in Canada.[5]
