Emmanuel Milingo is a Roman Catholic archbishop whose association with the Unification Movement brought him into the public spotlight, particularly when he chose to cast off his vow of celibacy to get blessed in marriage under the auspices of Rev. Sun Myung Moon.[1]

In May 2001, Archbishop Milingo was married to Maria Sung, a Korean acupuncturist. Three months later, he separated from his wife and seemed to "return" to the Roman Catholic Church. But in July 2006 he returned to his wife and started Married Priests Now! and was subsequently excommunicated "as a result of his ordaining four married men as bishops."[1]
