Star Wars: Empire at War is a computer strategy game made by the developer Lucas Arts, and released in February 2006. The game has several game modes, including a "story mode", where the player follows either the Empire or the Rebellion and works to defeat the other side through missions ranging from recruitment to capturing key points on a level, a "conquest" mode, where the player works to capture the entire, or part of the Star Wars galaxy, and a "skirmish" mode where the player can play a single battle against the computer, with different computer-controlled "players" on either side. The game also could connect to the Internet, and allow for players to fight each other. It was well-received by gamers, and is still commonly used today.
