Enlightened One

Enlightened One” is a rough translation of “Buddha” the title given to Siddhartha Guatama when he, according to Buddhists, achieved enlightenment. Following his attainment of enlightenment and becoming the Buddha, Siddhartha Guatama founded Buddhism.

Also, anyone who has been enlightened by following Buddhism.

According to Stanford University's Introduction to Buddism web page, "According to Buddhist belief, enlightenment is the experience of true reality, an “awakening” through which one could comprehend the true nature of things."[1]
