Essay: A British, secular leftist in complete denial
A British, secular leftist wrote about the User: Conservative account: "Conservative is a raving Anglophobe and he always manages to find a small nation that does things "better" than than The UK. One nation he never compares The UK to is America, which is understandable as all of his arguments would fold if he did so."
A few points:
1. Consider the recent main page right post made by the User: Conservative account:
2. Concerning the Anglophobe charge:
Last time I checked, lapdogs weren't that scary. The idea that American would be scared of the British is utterly absurd - especially after Americans won the American Revolutionary War.
And the truth is that I hold no dislike of the British people. I certainly understand that the British have made many invaluable contributions to Western culture. For example, John Bunyan's Pilgrim Progress is my favorite work of fiction. And the Geneva Bible is an outstanding version of the Bible. And common law has had a profound effect on the American legal system.
Now do I enjoy giving proud, British Darwinists comeuppances? Absolutely - especially a certain bitter, British Darwinist/atheist who has had a tendency to rail at the User: Conservative account over the years.
