Essay: Misfortune sparks the turbocharging of creation evangelism

The split between the biblical creation camps of Answers in Genesis (AIG) and Creation Ministries International (CMI) was very unfortunate as it caused a split between a large segment of the biblical creation community (see: Answers in Genesis dispute with Creation Ministries International). These two groups differences were resolved, however.

More importantly, it appears as if a great windfall for creation evangelism is occurring as a result of this split. Why do I say this? There are a number of reasons why I say this and the they are given below.

Death Ground causes biblical creation soldiers of Christ to battle with greater intensity

The famous Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu declared concerning army troops:

Troops backed into a corner will fight with double, triple, or greater degree of intensity because there is no alternative. An example of this principle being used in history was The Battle of the Fyrisvellir where a Viking commander burned his 200 ships in order to force his troops to fight hard as they could as there was no retreat.^[2] Viking fighters developed a reputation for being ferocious fighters. The most fierce Viking warriors were the berserkers who swung their battle axes with relentless ferocity.

Another example of Death Ground in military history is the D-Day invasion of Normandy at Omaha Beach where valiant soldiers victoriously prevailed against murderous Nazi machine gun fire and other defenses as there was no other alternative once they stepped forth on the beach.

The Bible refers to Christians as soldiers of Christ. Does the history of creation evangelism have a "Death Ground" episode?

After the AIG-CMI split, the creationists at Creation Ministries International clearly couldn't survive by pulling away fans of Answers in Genesis. The only alternative was to aggressively grow the world biblical creation pie in terms of its adherents. In addition, Creation Ministries International has chosen to work cooperatively with other biblical creation ministries. And of course, historically Christendom has a history of enthusiastically providing evidence for the Christian faith (see: Evidence for Christianity).

The Question evolution! campaign by Creation Ministries International is a worldwide campaign which poses 15 questions that evolutionists cannot satisfactorily answer.^[3] The 15 questions posed to evolutionists can be found HERE

The Question evolution! campaign, launched by Creation Ministries International, is a worldwide "grass-roots movement to challenge the anti-Christian dogma of evolution".^[4] The focus of the Question evolution! campaign is on 15 questions that evolutionists cannot answer. The 15 Questions that evolutionists cannot satisfactorily answer can be found HERE. ^[5] The campaign will be primarily conducted in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa.^[6]

In May of 2011, Creation Ministries International and the Traditional Values Coalition decided to jointly work together to advance the Question evolution! campaign. The Traditional Values Coalition is a church lobbying organization that lobbies for over 43,000 American churches.

The campaign features tracts, t-shirts, badges, mugs, etc. and students are being encouraged to participate in the campaign.^[7]

2 million Question evolution! tracts

The popular YouTube video producer Shockofgod is an ex-atheist and his channel features many anti-atheism videos. His YouTube videos have cumulatively received millions of views since his YouTube channel's inception.

On September 18, 2011 Shockofgod released a video entitled Evolutionists stumped confused & dumbfounded by 15 questions. ^[8] In that video, Shockofgod indicated he is going to move forward again and again with the Question evolution! campaign until 1,000,000 Question Evolution! tracts are in people's hands and then continue to move forward until 2,000,000 tracts are in people's hands.^[9]

Victory over Darwinism and atheism - Defense and offense are both necessary

Since World War II a majority of the most prominent and vocal defenders of the evolutionary position which employs methodological naturalism have been atheists.^[10]

In order for Christian theism and biblical creation to effectively prevail it must not only defend its beliefs but it must aggressively go on the attack in terms of combating and refuting atheism and evolutionary belief. In terms of attacking evolutionary belief and atheistic belief, creation evangelism and anti-evolution evangelism are key components for a biblical creation organizations to have and CMI has the Question evolution! campaign.

Creation Ministries International takes a two prong approach as far as attacking atheist ideology. It is thought that given the increase in the availability of public's access to global communications that the more theologically conservative non-Western Christianity could influence Western Christianity to move into more theologically conservative direction.^[13] For example, non-Western Anglicans are exerting influence in the worldwide Anglican communion as far as the Anglican Communion's policy concerning homosexuality.^[14][15]

Of course, this will aid biblical creation organizations. More importantly, there is no reason why Creation Ministries International can certainly have the Question evolution! campaign be translated into other languages such as Spanish, French, German, Russian, etc..

10 major factors which could cause the shrinking of atheism and belief and Darwinism

Currently there are 10 major obstacles that are facing atheism and Darwinism which could easily cause a significant shrinkage of these two ideologies (see: Major obstacles that are facing atheism and Darwinism).

Great moments are born from great opportunities

When you combine these 10 major obstacles to atheism and Darwinism cited above with the aggressive evangelism of world Christendom and the creation evangelism of Creation Ministries International and other creation organizations, the percentage of the population of people who are biblical creation believers in the world, United States and Europe could see significant growth while atheism and Darwinism could see significant declines.

The famous hockey coach Herb Brooks famously declared "Great moments are born from great opportunities". Clearly, given the opportunities outlined above, great achievements are certainly possible in terms of advancing biblical Christianity in both the Western and Eastern worlds.
