The Gallup Poll is the oldest polling organization in the world, and is often cited to make a point about politics and human interest stories. The organization was founded by George Gallup in 1934.

Gallup polls have more integrity than most other polls cited by the mainstream media. Some of the best Gallup polls, which are done periodically, include:

  • Presidential approval rating, ever since Harry Truman[1]
  • religious views as they change over time.[2]
