Gray Davis

Joseph Graham (Gray) Davis, Jr was the 37th Governor of California (1999-2003) and the second Governor in U.S. History to be successfully recalled. He also served as the Lt. Governor of California (1995-1999), the California State Controller (1987-1995), and as a California State Assemblyman (1983-1987). As Governor, he succeeded Pete Wilson and was succeeded by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
