The company was founded in 1903 by William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson. Harley-Davidson enjoys fierce customer loyalty. Harley Davidson motorcycles are used exclusively by many municipal police departments. The brand is also associated with biker culture and outlaw motorcycle gangs and clubs. The company's stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
