Store-bought hot cross buns

Hot cross buns are sweet bread buns filled with dried fruit, and decorated with a pastry cross, traditionally eaten on Good Friday (and across the Easter period) in the United Kingdom and in many Commonwealth countries. The cross on the hot cross bun represents the Cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified.
