ICON-RIDS is an acronym for the International Coalition of Non-Religious ID Scientists & Scholars. It was founded by William Brookfield with the intent of stopping the classification of intelligent design as a religious enterprise so that it can be classified as science.[1]

ICON-RIDS postulates that the processes of natural selection and random mutation are both destructive processes. Therefor making it logically impossible for new, presumably more complex, structures to arise from an inherently destructive process. Brookfield maintains "...origin of new species by means of natural selection is thus logically and causally bankrupt."[2]
