Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan
From Conservapedia
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is what the Taliban calls itself in Afghanistan. It was founded in 1996 and arose from the chaos of post-Soviet Afghanistan as a fundamentalist politico-religious movement. It lasted five-year until their fall from power in 2001. At present it operates in the shadow.
Mohammed Omar (Mullah Omar) (1959) is the spiritual leader of this movement that operates in parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
