J. K. Rowling

J. K. Rowling (full name Joanne Kathleen Rowling) is the author of the popular Harry Potter book series.
She was born on July 31, 1965, in Chipping Sodbury, England.[1] She has said that "the idea for Harry Potter simply fell into [her] head" while riding a train from Manchester to London in 1990.[2]
In 2008, Rowling gave the commencement address at Harvard University.[3]
