Jay Monahan

Jay Monahan (1955-1998) was an attorney and legal analyst for NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC. The late husband of Katie Couric, Monahan covered the O.J. Simpson and other high-profile trials.[1]
He died of colon cancer at the age of only 42. A medical center, the Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health, opened in 2004 at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.[2]
