Jim Caviezel

James Caviezel (born September 26, 1968) is an actor from Mount Vernon, Washington. He is most known for his role as Jesus in The Passion of the Christ. Jim's wife Kerri is a school teacher whom he met on a blind date in 1993 and married in 1997. James has adopted two children from China and is pro-life. [1]
His nickname was Jimmy and he had a strong Catholic upbringing. He was athletically gifted on the basketball court and dreamed of someday playing in the NBA. [2] Caviezel went to three high schools and graduated as a basketball star in 1987 from Burien Kennedy High School in Burien, Washington. Jimmy would play basketball at Bellevue Community College until his sophomore year when he injured his foot. Shortly after, he turned his focus toward acting. His latest acting is in the movie The Stoning of Soraya M.
