Jimmy LaSalvia is a homosexual liberal columnist for far-left anti-military website Salon.com and political activist for the ACLU.[1] LaSalvia is one of the co-founders of GOProud, a defunct socially liberal political organization that claimed to represent homosexual conservatives yet was nothing more than a group of homosexual liberal Republicans. Despite initially claiming to be a Republican, he has become very outspoken about his hatred for Republicans.[2] LaSalvia has compared Christian activist and family values advocate Tony Perkins to Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.[3] An ardently militant atheist, he is staunchly opposed to faith-based initiatives[4] and has claimed that "religion has killed more than all diseases combined."[5] In December 2015, LaSalvia announced his support for Hillary Clinton.[6]
