Joe Celestin

Josaphat J. "Joe" Celestin (born 1957) is a Haitian-American politician. Celestin was born in Haiti and immigrated to the United States in 1979.

He served as the mayor of North Miami, Florida from 2001 to 2005. A Republican, he was elected the city's first black mayor.[1] After he reached the end of his term limits, he was succeeded by Kevin Burns.[2]
