John H. McWhorter

John H. McWhorter is a black, right of center political commentator, professional English lecturer, and highly educated professor of linguistics.[1]

Life and Works

McWhorter was born October 6, 1965, in Philadelphia, and attended Friends Select School in Philadelphia, was accepted to Simon’s Rock College where he got an arts degree, attended Rogers University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in French in 1985, and received a Master’s in American Studies from New York University and PhD in Linguistics in 1993 from Stanford University.[2] Since his publishing of Losing the Race: Self-Sabotage in Black America, his controversial belief that black supremacists and hip-hop music won't end racial troubles, he has annoyed liberals and fellow blacks.[3] He currently professes at Columbia University.[4]
