Judas Priest is a British heavy metal band that formed in Birmingham, England, in 1970 by guitarist K.K. Downing and bassist Ian Hill. They are one of the most popular and influential bands in heavy metal. The band is known for their revolutionary use of twin guitars and their on stage attire which consisted of black leather and metal studs.[1]

Rob Halford, lead singer of the band, is openly homosexual having come out-of-the-closet in the 1990s.

Judas Priest and suicide

A high-profile lawsuit against the band Judas Priest as an accessory to the suicide death of James Vance and suicide attempt of Ray Belknap in Reno, Nevada 1985. [2] Trial focused on lyrics, album titles and subliminal messages.
