Kate Bush CBE (b. July 30, 1958) is a British recording artist, singer and multi-instrumentalist. Her career began in the late 1970s, and she is still releasing albums. Still most famous for her debut single, an arrestingly shrill and typically individualistic reimagining in song of the novel Wuthering Heights, also entitled "Wuthering Heights," Bush has also made hits with "Running Up That Hill" and “Babooshka," among many others, and retains a loyal fan-base.
Bush has a reputation for reclusiveness, and in the latter part of her career her album releases have customarily been many years apart. However, in 2010-11 Bush bucked this trend by releasing three albums, including the Christmas-themed Fifty Words for Snow, whose title track featured the voice of humorist and dilettante Stephen Fry.
