# Kepler Conjecture

From Conservapedia

The **Kepler Conjecture**, proposed by Johannes Kepler in 1611, states that hexagonal and cubic close-packing are the densest possible ways to pack identical spheres. In 1998, a proof was announced by Thomas Hales. While the proof has proven difficult to verify due to its heavy use of computer calculations, it is believed to be correct.
