Kirby's Dream Land

Kirby's Dream Land (Hoshi no Kaabi, "Kirby of the Stars") is a 1992 game for the Game Boy. It is the debut of Kirby. It was followed in 1995 by Kirby's Dream Land 2. It is rated E by the ESRB.

Story

In Dream Land (Pupupu Land in Japan) on the fictional planet of Popstar, the greedy King Dedede has stolen all the food to the inhabitants of this peaceful land. Only Kirby is the one who can beat Dedede and retrieve all the food to Dream Land.

Gameplay

The gameplay is rather simple, the player controls Kirby, who can inhale and spit enemies with the B button and jump with the A Button. Kirby can fly with a combination of up on the D-pad and the A Button;he exhales to go back on land with the B Button. Unlike other games (starting the next year with Kirby's Adventure) where Kirby can copy the enemies' abilities, he cannot do that in Dream Land.

Stages and Bosses

There are a total of 5 stages and five area bosses, in the order as follows:

• Stage 1: Green Greens - Boss: Whispy Woods
• Stage 2: Castle Lololo - Boss: Lololo and Lalala
• Stage 3: Float Islands - Boss: Kabula
• Stage 4: Bubbly Clouds - Boss: Kracko
• Stage 5: Mt. Dedede - Boss: King Dedede

Beating Dedede will beat the game. However, putting in a secret code at the title screen will unlock a harder version of the game.
