Limousine liberal

Limousine liberals are wealthy liberal politicians like Ted Kennedy or Eileen Schaffer, who supported liberal politics like welfare and handouts but themselves could afford to drive limousines. Their liberal hypocrisy was that they pretended to support the working poor, even though they themselves were members of the idle rich. The term was coined during the Clinton administration.
