Luo tribe

The Luo tribe is a major ethnic group in Kenya. Politically they are opposed to the larger Kikuyu tribe.

They regularly practise polygamy. Most are Muslims. Some are Christians.

Barack Obama, Sr., the father of Barack Obama, was a Muslim member of the Luo tribe and had multiple wives.
