A second cloture vote will be needed in Senate to close debate and vote on the health care bill, and merely one Democrat (or one of the Independents) can stop it. Democratic Senator Ben Nelson promised to "oppose the second cloture motion -- needing 60 votes -- to end debate, and oppose the final bill" unless changes are made that other Democrats oppose making.
Liberal Patrick Kennedy whines to the media about being banned by his own church from receiving communion. "The bishop instructed me not to take Communion and said that he has instructed the diocesan priests not to give me Communion," Kennedy told a newspaper. Why did the church ban him? Because "I am not a good practicing Catholic because of the positions that I've taken as a public official," especially abortion. What took so long?
Investment advisor Don Harrold encourages Americans to get out of debt, while the Obama administration creates future problems in the American housing market with unsound FHA loans. Previously, Mr. Harrold exposed the folly of the investment advice at the liberal television cable channel CNBC.
The web tracking firm Quantcast reports that Conservapedia's web traffic is significantly up. According to Quantcast, Conservapedia attracts a "more educated, fairly wealthy" audience. In addition, Quantcast's data indicates that Conservapedia visitors tend to be more educated and wealthier than the individuals who visit Wikipedia. Looks like its time for the atheist Jimmy Wales to tell the Wikipedia mob to pick up a few more books! Maybe there would be fewer village atheists at Wikipedia if he encouraged the Wikipedia mob to renew their library cards!
Researcher claims to confirm Crucifixion from Greek/Latin/Hebrew symbols on the Shroud of Turin: "In the year 16 of the reign of the Emperor Tiberius Jesus the Nazarene [circa A.D. 30], taken down in the early evening after having been condemned to death by a Roman judge because he was found guilty by a Hebrew authority, is hereby sent for burial with the obligation of being consigned to his family only after one full year." But Jesus's body was not there a year later!
Atheist Richard Dawkins has egg on his face again! Atheist advertisement initiated by Richard Dawkins and the British Humanist Society inadvertently features children who are members of one of Britain's most devout Christian families and the children radiate happiness. Brad Mason, the father of the children, said that the children's Christianity shone through. Mr. Mason declared, "Obviously there is something in their faces which is different. So they judged that they were happy and free without knowing that they are Christians. That is quite a compliment. I reckon it shows we have brought up our children in a good way and that they are happy." The atheist community has a higher rate of suicide compared to the theist community.
Today's liberals embrace a politically correct mindset. By doing so, they are willing to degrade the rights of women or treat them as sub-human to please diverse cultures. The 50th anniversary of Mattel's Barbie is now complete with the traditional Islamic dress, the burka.
Senate votes tonight on pro-abortion health care bill: "Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) needs the last two holdouts - Sens. Mary Landrieu (La.) and Blanche Lincoln (Ark.) - to reach the 60-vote threshold to move forward with the debate. No Republican senator is expected to vote for this initial step."
More and more Americans continue to oppose the ObamaCare legislation than support it, according to a Fox News / Opinion Dynamics poll released Friday. Most Republicans (82%) and a majority of independents (61 percent) oppose the legislation. Seniors aged 65 and over, regardless of party, oppose to the legislation by 56%-30%.
Students seize buildings "on campuses of the University of California system in protest of a 32 percent tuition hike. Students took over portions of buildings on campuses in Los Angeles, Berkeley, Santa Cruz and Davis late Thursday, and two remain occupied Friday morning."
Haven't the students learned that professor values are expensive?
Terrorist Hasan E-Mail to Radical Imam: 'I Can't Wait to Join You' in the Afterlife
Fort Hood rampage suspect Major Nidal Hasan asked radical Muslim Terrorist Imam Anwar al-Awlaki in e-mails if it's acceptable for innocent people to die in suicide attacks and said he looked forward to their meeting in the afterlife. Still the Obama Administration cannot bring itself to admit Hasan was indeed a Muslim terrorist...

Janet Napolitano declares the U.S. borders are secure now and it's time to talk amnesty. Newly released figures show the Obama administration to be weak on illegal immigration. Sarah Palin gets a much higher positive rating (47%) than Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (28%), and most think she's been treated unfairly by the press. Palin is nearly even in approval with President Obama among the critical segment of independent voters, with Obama at 50 percent & Palin at 49 percent.
ONE SENATOR’S CHOICE: OBAMACARE OR REELECTION:
A Zogby Poll this week illustrates the stark choice facing Senate Democrats as they have to decide whether or not to vote for ObamaCare. The poll shows that Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln, high up on the list of vulnerable Senate Democrats seeking reelection in 2010, literally faces a choice between being reelected and voting for the bill, with 64% in the state opposed to Obama's scheme.
An overwhelming number of American voters (53%) say they disapprove of most of President Obama's policies, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday. "Millions of voters who sided with him last November because they thought he would bring change to Washington aren't crazy about the kind of change he is trying to bring." said the Polling Institute. A new Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll, also released today (Thursday) showed Obama's approval rating has hit a new low of just 46 percent.
U.S. mortgage delinquency rates and the percentage of loans that entered the foreclosure process jumped in the third quarter, with both reaching record highs, the Mortgage Bankers Association said on Thursday. The percentage of loans on which foreclosure actions were started rose to 1.42 percent in the third quarter, an all-time high and up from 1.36 percent in the second quarter.
Harry Reid introduces the Senate bill without the Stupak protection against abortion funding, and Reid seeks a vote within days. "On page 118 of the bill, the Senate authorizes the health secretary 'to require coverage of any and all abortions throughout the public option program.'"
National Right to Life said, “This would be federal government funding of abortion, no matter how hard they try to disguise it”; this bill “creates new tax-supported subsidies to purchase private health plans that will cover abortion on demand.”
Federal research dollars go overwhelmingly to Democratic states: California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington receive as much funding as virtually all of the more conservative states COMBINED.
The American College of Physicians -- the second-largest doctors' group in the country -- confirms that "the supply of doctors just won't be there" for the 30 million new patients President Barack Obama wants to cover. Noting that the doctor shortage is "already a catastrophic crisis," underserved areas in the U.S. currently need almost 17,000 new primary care physicians even before Obama's proposals are enacted!
Barack Obama's nominee for undersecretary of the Treasury, Lael Brainard has tax payment issues. The fifth Obama nominee to have tax problems. It's hard for Obama to find honest people when he only associates with scofflaw leftists.
Liberals strike out in their distortion of science in order to control energy: "Senate to Put Off Climate Bill Until Spring." The gig is up for liberal lying about science to pull people away from conservative values and the Bible.
The star running back for the Kansas City Chiefs has been forced to sign at the lowest possible status and pay with the Cincinnati Bengals, with the press reporting humiliating statements by the coach: "he would be last on the depth chart ... [and] essentially will be an insurance policy in case" another running back is injured. What sparked this abrupt demotion? The star "posted a gay slur on his Twitter account."
"China questions costs of U.S. healthcare reform: Guess what? It turns out the Chinese are kind of curious about how President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform plans would impact America’s huge fiscal deficit. Government officials are using his Asian trip as an opportunity to ask the White House questions. Detailed questions."
Sarah Palin's book becomes available today, and liberals are going bananas about it. "Going berserk over 'Going Rogue;' Democrats' reaction to Sarah Palin book and publicity." Is the "problem" that Palin upstages Obama?
Democratic Senator Kent Conrad of North Dakota said Sunday: "what is clear is, to have legislation passed -- it was clear in the House; it will be clear in the Senate -- there cannot be taxpayer funding of abortion."
Nation's Largest Gay Newspaper Publisher Closes When just a fraction of your American audience embraces the gay lifestyle, it's hard to make money. PepsiCo take notice, the boycott by the American Family Association has been successful with other gay promoting companies.
An academic who specializes in Japanese culture said that Obama's bow to the Japanese emperor was too low of a bow. Obama tried to pass himself off as a sophisticated, cosmopolitan citizen of the world with his overly deep bow to the Japanese emperor, but instead merely engaged in buffoonery that embarrassed the United States. What is Obama going to do next at a state function? Limbo dancing?
Banning of star running back from the NFL proves there's no free speech for comments that criticize homosexuality. Liberals support a ban, but the Cincinnati Bengals may play him ... if the Bengals are not targeted to drop him.
Liberal media and the Obama Administration lied to us again: "Second Cop -- Not Kimberly Munley -- Brought Down Fort Hood Killer." Liberals just don't like male heroes. Kimberly Munley was also a hero, but there was no legitimate reason to lie about the facts.
Government report says that Democrats' health care bill "would reduce senior care: A plan to slash more than $500 billion from future Medicare spending ... would sharply reduce benefits for some senior citizens and could jeopardize access to care for millions of others, according to a government evaluation released Saturday." Leading trend forecaster Gerald Celente declares the Obama administration policies are going to cause the US dollar to further plummet and a great depression is coming to the United States.
Gay marriage lacks enough votes in New Jersey, so the liberal trick of using a lame duck session may fail: "Today, as I stand here, we do not have the votes in the Judiciary Committee," stated the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. "Until somebody can demonstrate that we have the votes in the Judiciary Committee, it will not be posted," he added.
A Cuban left-handed pitcher flees his own nation and family in order to play in the major leagues. But the liberal media do not even criticize the totalitarian communist regime in Cuba for imprisoning its own people, causing them to flee in this manner.
Latest study confirms that Chinese women who had abortions have an increased risk of breast cancer. In addition, a scientist argues that the researchers actually underestimated the increased risk.
9/11 mastermind to be tried in NYC
Self-proclaimed September 11th mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees will be sent to New York to face trial in a civilian federal court, an Obama administration official said Friday.
Polls suggest healthcare debate a boon to GOP Senate candidates
Two Quinnipiac polls released Thursday show the leading GOP candidates in Connecticut and Ohio growing their leads. Former Rep. Rob Simmons (R-Conn.) leads Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.), 49-38, and former Rep. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) has opened his first leads over two potential Democratic opponents.
President Barack Obama’s approval on the healthcare issue has slipped in Ohio from 44 percent to 36 percent in the last two months, and now 57 percent of voters disapprove of his handling of it. Voters also by a wide margin say they oppose the healthcare bill, 55-36, after they were evenly divided, 44-44, in September.
"ACORN May Be on Brink of Collapse: ACORN has been cut off by banks, the government and most of its private foundation funders, severely hampering its housing operations and raising the possibility that it will not survive in its current form, according to a lawsuit the group filed Thursday against the U.S. government."

The NY-23 district election results not officially over thanks to recanvassing! According to The Post-Standard, though Bill Owens was sworn in, Doug Hoffman has gained without the more than 10,000 yet to be counted absentee ballots.
Under pressure from the White House, Majority Leader Harry Reid says he plans to bring a health care reform package to the floor of the Senate next week .... But three Democrats -- Sens. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana -- and independent Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut have told Reid they want the legislative text of the bill and a final CBO score available online for 72 hours before beginning a debate."
It's a "jobless recovery": "The jobless rate will exceed 10 percent through the first half of 2010, according to a monthly Bloomberg News survey of economists. The rate jumped to 10.2 percent in October, the highest level since 1983, according to a Labor Department report on Nov. 6. The economy has lost 7.3 million jobs since the recession began in December 2007."
Happy Birthday U.S. Marine Corps.
Founded during the American Revolution, "From the Halls of Montezuma To the shores of Tripoli" and 234 years later- 180,000 Marines are serving in the Iraq and Afghanistan war. Keep these patriots in your prayers.
Blatant Media Bias (Again): Newsweek's Evan Thomas regretted the Fort Hood mass murderer, Major Nidal Hasan, is a Muslim because of how that reality will be abused by conservatives. On this weekend's Inside Washington, Thomas, now Editor at Large with Newsweek, rued: "I cringe that he's a Muslim. I mean, because it inflames all the fears. I think he's probably just a nut case. But with that label attached to him, it will get the right wing going and it just -- I mean these things are tragic, but that makes it much worse." NPR's Nina Totenberg soon chimed in with agreement: "It really is tragic that he was a Muslim." Yes, much more tragic than if he had been Jewish or Christian? Huh?
U.S. officials confirm Fort Hood shooting suspect sent e-mails to Al Qaeda associates. Army Ignored Warning Signs From Fort Hood Shooter, Former Classmate Says. The warning signs were all there: the justification of homicide bombings; the spewing of anti-American hatred; the efforts to reach Al Qaeda.... &
"Tear down this wall!" The liberals scoffed at those bold words of President Ronald Reagan, but 20 years ago today the people did as Reagan hoped: they tore down the Berlin Wall. "Thousands of people joined world leaders in the German capital Monday to remember the night 20 years ago when a euphoric wave of people power swept away the Berlin Wall and consigned the Cold War to history."
Nidal Malik Hasan.
The man accused of killing 13 people and wounding 29 at Fort Hood is able to talk, a hospital spokesman said Monday, but it's unknown when investigators might take advantage of his improving health to press forward with their probe into the shooting spree.
Authorities say Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan fired off more than 100 rounds Thursday at a soldier processing center before civilian police shot him in the torso. He was taken into custody and eventually moved to an Army hospital in San Antonio, where he was in stable condition and able to talk, said Dewey Mitchell, a Brooke Army Medical Center spokesman.
Were conservatives right in supporting the pro-life Stupak Amendment to the health care bill Saturday?: Arizona Republican Congressman John Shadegg and Americans for Prosperity "urged Republicans to defeat the pro-life measure by voting present" in order to stop the health care bill. "'(Nancy) Pelosi is speaker and she’s pro abortion .... This is a vote to help her move the bill forward.'" The pro-life Stupak amendment passed by 240-194. Only Shadegg voted "present".
"Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the health care bill passed last night by the House of Representatives is 'dead on arrival to the Senate.' Graham argued that the House bill was 'written for liberals, by liberals. Just look at how it passed; it passed 220 to 215 ....'"
The Ludwig von Mises Institute has just released an extraordinary 42 minute film entitled Money, Banking and the Federal Reserve that is freely available to the public at YouTube. The film is dedicated to Murray N. Rothbard, steeped in American history and Austrian economics, and features Ron Paul, Joseph Salerno, Hans Hoppe, and Lew Rockwell. Alan Greenspan is reported to be unhappy about the film. Watch the film, and you'll understand why!
The leading British newsweekly, The Economist, refuses to translate the Fort Hood killer's last words. But that liberal publication had no trouble using the English term "Allah" in 71 other articles in its archives.
Liberals complain about the use of the Bible by jurors who sentenced a murderer to death: "The death sentence on a Texan man has been carried out despite claims jurors at his trial quoted the Bible during their deliberations. ... Amnesty had learned from four jurors that several Bibles were present in the jury room, with passages highlighted and passed between them." Apparently liberals want jurors to read the newspaper instead!
The so-called conservative Democrats ( Blue Dogs ) were the difference in passing ObamaCare in the U.S. House of Representatives. A total of 28 Blue Dog Democrats forfeited their principles in favor of socialist healthcare & big government. "If this bill passes the Senate, America will be bankrupt and nobody will have healthcare."
The House of Representatives is currently debating the liberals' massive, trillion-dollar takeover of health care, with Nancy Pelosi determined to hold the vote tonight.
Minority Leader John Boehner called the pro-life amendment a meaningless "shell game" because it wouild be removed by liberals in conference. "Shame on you," Charles Rangel replied after Boehner asked him to guarantee it would not be removed. Latest updates
16 Million Americans are now suffering without hope in a jobless recovery. Earlier, the president promised unemployment would never rise above 7.8%, as an additional 4 million jobs were destroyed after the Obama stimulus passed, as experts predicted.
House holds rules debate on health-care bill whether to allow amendments, and will vote on the trillion-dollar government takeover Saturday night. Do the liberals have the 218 votes needed for passage? Pelosi said, "We'll see when we get to the floor."
The New York Times recently endorsed liberal Jon Corzine for governor of New Jersey, but now it recounts his spending $130 million on his own political career with little more than a bad car crash to show for it. His 49-45% defeat Tuesday was "humiliating", says the Times, and its headline screams, "Unlucky and Aloof, Corzine Fell Short of Trenton Goals."
We pray for the victims of the Fort Hood massacre and we pray that America takes steps to prevent this type of attack from happening again.
The British press mistranslates for liberal England the Fort Hood shooter's final words: "Allahu Akbar," which really means "Allah is great." A British paper shouts in its headline that his final words were "God is great," and then deflects the reader's attention to the heroine who stopped him.
Unemployment Rate tops 10%
The nation's unemployment rate rose above 10% for the first time since 1983 in October, a much worse jump than expected as employers continued to trim jobs from payrolls. The unemployment rate, calculated using a survey of households as opposed to companies, rose by 0.4 percentage point to 10.2%, the Labor Department said Friday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast an increase to 9.9%.
Gay activists: it's Obama's fault: "Gay activists were frustrated that Obama, who insists he staunchly supports their overall civil rights agenda, didn't speak out forcefully in defense of Maine's marriage law before Tuesday's referendum. The law was repealed in a vote of 53 percent to 47 percent. ... The White House, asked about the criticism, had no immediate comment."
Tragic Shooting at Fort Hood in Texas
A shooting rampage Thursday afternoon at the Army's Fort Hood in Texas killed 13 and wounded 30 before the gunman, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, was sent to the hospital in stable condition. Two other suspects have been taken into custody. "We have a terrible, tragic situation here," said Lt. General Bob Cone. "Soldiers, family members and the civilians that work here are absolutely devastated." Most of those killed were soldiers.
Eleven more videos of schoolchildren trained to praise Obama: "when eleven more dropped in our email box it came as quite a shock. ... Each one of the videos below is creepier than the last because the further down you go, the younger the children — brace yourself for kindergartners – except for the last and most disturbing video, which you have to see to believe."
Governor Charlie Crist: 'I didn't endorse' the stimulus package.
WOLF BLITZER: Do you have any regrets about endorsing the economic stimulus package?
Planned Parenthood makes the bulk of their money through abortion, setting quotas of how many babies per month should be killed, and raking in the cash. And to add insult to injury, they are going to court to silence the director who quit after witnessing the procedure through an ultrasound.
Michele Bachmann "sets the stage for a congressional confrontation" today at high noon, and thousands converge on D.C. for her rally against Pelosi's planned federal takeover of medical care. "The Republican lawmaker has been on a media blitz promoting [today]'s rally against the Democratic health care proposal on the steps of the Capitol, which she has dubbed 'The Super Bowl of Freedom.'"
The number of jobs the Obama administration credits to federal stimulus money could be overstated by at least 20,000 of the 640,000 claimed, a Wall Street Journal analysis found. Recipients of the government grants and contracts appear to have made mistakes when estimating the number of jobs that have been saved or created, according to the Journal's review. The Obama administration said Friday that spending from the $787 billion stimulus program had directly created or saved about 640,000 jobs through Sept. 30. Republicans challenged the claim, saying there was no concrete way to tally jobs "saved."
53-47% was the wide margin by which Maine voters rejected gay marriage, the centerpiece of the homosexual agenda.
What did $5 million in spending by gay activists buy them in Maine? Only 267,574 votes, about $20 per vote.
"Gay marriage has now lost in every single state -- 31 in all -- in which it has been put to a popular vote." Spending more than $10 per vote promoting the homosexual agenda did not change the outcome: Maine restores the traditional institution of marriage.
Liberals admit this: "Contests serve as warning to Democrats: It's not 2008 anymore." But then comes the liberal denial: "Neither gubernatorial election amounted to a referendum on the president." In fact, Obama hitched his presidency to both gubernatorial candidates, especially in New Jersey where he made 3 special election-eve appearances.
Thought the Democrats striped ACORN of taxpayer money to continue its corrupt practices, like facilitating child prostitution and human trafficing, besides ballot box stuffing? Wrong. Think again. The action only applied to the current year budget and continuing resolution, which ended October 31. When the continuing resolution expires, ACORN will be free to help register as many illegal aliens in California necessary to insure natural born citizens in other states lose thier representation during redistricting.
Republican Chris Christie elected Governor of New Jersey
Jon Corzine loses by over 100,000 votes, despite spending more than 3 times his opponent.
In the final days the Democrat Jon Corzine turned the race into a referendum on Obama, and the overwhelmingly Democratic New Jersey repudiated Obama's liberal agenda.
Election Day 2009: Four key races rivet the nation's attention:
- the race for Virginia's governorship, in a state that went Democratic a year ago
- the race for New York congressional seat 23, as an insurgent Conservative Party candidate could make history in a liberal state
- Maine Proposition 1, where an initiative to restore traditional marriage has been opposed by massive gay spending exceeding $10 per vote
- the race for governorship of New Jersey, a heavily Democratic state.
"With two new polls showing the race over Question 1 a dead heat, the Yes on 1/Stand for Marriage Maine campaign released a new radio ad Monday spotlighting what it says is harassment and intimidation of public high school social worker Donald Mendell Jr., who faces the possible loss of his social worker license for his support of Question 1, which would reverse the new law.""
Total repudiation of Obama in Virginia, as the Republican Bob McDonnell now has a 12% lead over the Democrat Creigh Deeds in the race for the governor's seat, which is currently held by a Democrat. Obama won this state merely one year ago.
"Democrats Scramble to Prevent GOP Victories in Key Races: The White House is aware Democratic losses would be spun as a referendum on Obama. The results of Tuesday's elections could also foreshadow next year's elections, when 37 governorships come up for grabs."
Democrats are fleeing NY Congressional candidate Owens like rats from a sinking ship: "He's losing 25% of the Democratic voters, versus only a 13% defection rate among Republicans. Fully 14% of Dems say they will vote for the Conservative Hoffman. Another 11% were going for Scozzafava."
Nearly everyone should turn their clocks back early Sunday morning!
Happy Halloween celebrations!
Jon Corzine's Assistant Deputy Campaign Director Arrested on Drug Charges
A man who identified himself as an official with New Jersey Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine's reelection campaign was arrested Friday night after the police found ecstasy tablets wrapped and ready to be sold in his car, which was rented from the Corzine campaign. Jason Shih, 25, is being charged with possession of drugs, possession of drugs in a school zone, intent to distribute drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with two motor vehicle violations -- driving while using a cell phone and having drugs in his car.
Liberal Republican Dede Scozzafava has suspended her bid in next Tuesday’s NY 23 special election, a huge development that dramatically shakes up the race. She did not endorse either of her two opponents -- Conservative party candidate Doug Hoffman or Democrat Bill Owens.
Public Policy Polling editorializes that "We're finding Hoffman with more support than Owens and Scozzafava combined...explains the withdrawal."
"Kansas Supreme Court rules against wind farms." Wind energy is not eco-friendly after all: "hundreds of turbines towering 300 or more feet above the landscape will disrupt the natural beauty of the prairie, create noise pollution and hurt dwindling populations of prairie chickens, which won't mate anywhere near large structures." They are also inefficient.
"GOP Poll: Obama Visits Backfiring In New Jersey? A new survey from Neighborhood Research (R) shows that Republican Chris Christie has pulled ahead as voters are breaking late from the undecided column toward the challenger.
Christie 42 (+6 vs. last poll, 10/6-8)
Corzine 35 (unch)"
Liberal hatred strikes once again: if a liberal commits a heinous crime, always make sure to attack the victim, as Gore Vidal does in his defense of recently-arrested Roman Polanski:
Obama's buddy "Hugo Chavez is currently conducting a political and financial 'blitzkrieg' in countries such as Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Bolivia, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Peru and Colombia. So far, country responses to his aggressive efforts have been rather languid, with the exception of Honduras, where a rapid civic and military reaction has checked the progress of his offensive." Uncensored, up-to-the minute news from Honduras can been seen on this blog:
Record-low temperatures and snow may hit tonight in ... Tucson, one of the most southern cities in the western United States. Global warming, anyone? Yes, liberals still want to control energy regardless of the facts, and under any pretext possible.
Climate Science For Dummies: The church of Global Warming. "Where environmental scientists are the clergy, Green is the color of purity and the central icon is not Jesus suffering on a cross but the image of a tortured planet dying for our sins."
Women in Peril, the Parents Television Council is highlighting the increasing graphic violence against women and girls by Hollywood. Extreme violence against women has increased in frequency, is deemed trivial and even a humorous matter. Statistics show broadcasters have aired 120% more violence against women between 2004 and 2009. Conservatives fight for women, liberals exploit them.
Down to the wire in the exciting New York congressional race: Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman has been endorsed by George Pataki, Sarah Palin, Dick Armey, Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty, former Sen. Rick Santorum, "Fred Thompson, Dr. James Dobson, and Sen. Jim DeMint, as well as groups such as NY Right to Life, National Organization for Marriage, Susan B. Anthony List, Concerned Women for America, and others."
Is the RINO gambit in New Jersey about to crash and burn in ignominious defeat? The Quinnipiac poll thinks so: RINO Chris Christie falls to five points behind the unpopular Jon Corzine. Christie stumbled with conservatives by picking a pro-choice running mate rather than Steve Lonegan, a movement conservative who won 42% in the primary despite every "leader" opposing him and being outspent by millions.
"City Parents Opting Out of Swine Flu Vaccine: At Public School 157 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, where health officials opened their public school vaccination campaign on Wednesday, only a third of students had permission to receive it. 'The swine flu vaccine has not been out long enough for me to trust it,' said Sheena Ash, who has three children at the school."
Liberal John Kerry insists that "we invented wind" as he desperately pushes for more government control over energy, under the guise of man-made global warming. Give it up, guys: not even name-calling by liberals who cry "flat-earther" is going to pass "cap and trade" or change the fact that Earth is getting cooler.
Church of Scientology convicted of fraud in France
The group's French branch said it would appeal the verdict.
The court convicted the Church of Scientology's French office, its library and six of its leaders of organized fraud. Investigators said the group pressured members into paying large sums of money for questionable financial gain and used "commercial harassment" against recruits.
Sales of new homes dropped unexpectedly last month as the effects of a soon-to-expire tax credit for first-time owners started to wane. The Commerce Department said Wednesday that sales fell 3.6 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 402,000 from a downwardly revised 417,000 in August.
Gallup poll shows an increase in conservatives: 40 percent of Americans call their political views conservative, 36 percent moderate and 20 percent liberal. Last year, conservatives were tied with moderates at 37 percent.
Pro-life Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) "said he is undeterred in trying to ensure that taxpayer dollars do not pay for abortions. ... Stupak wants a vote on the House floor to strike the language, and predicts he would have the votes to pass such an amendment. ... 'We have to have a vote,' he said. If he doesn't get one, Stupak said he and as many as 39 other Democrats will vote no on a procedural motion to bring the health bill to the floor. A House vote on healthcare reform could be voted on next week."
Joe Lieberman to Filibuster Government Option
Lieberman, who caucuses with Democrats and is positioning himself as a fiscal hawk on the issue, said he opposes any health care bill that includes a government-run insurance program — even if it includes a provision allowing states to opt out of the program, as Reid has said the Senate bill will.
"To put this government-created insurance company on top of everything else is just asking for trouble for the taxpayers, for the premium payers and for the national debt." Lieberman said.
Best selling authors Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner have Global Warming doomsayers scrambling to refute their new book. In "SuperFreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes, and Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance," the pair provide explanations of what people want and how things work under the law of unintended consequences.
Newspaper circulation plummets: "Circulation at newspapers shrank at an accelerated pace in the past six months .... Average daily circulation at 379 U.S. newspapers plunged 10.6 percent in the April-September period from the same six-month stretch last year, ... the largest drop recorded so far during the past decade's steady decline in paid readership." Time for them to take a break from printing their liberal claptrap.
"Dr. Diane Harper, lead researcher in the development of two human papilloma virus vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix, said the controversial drugs will do little to reduce cervical cancer rates and, even though they're being recommended for girls as young as nine, there have been no efficacy trials in children under the age of 15. ... 'I came away from the talk with the perception that the risk of adverse side effects is so much greater than the risk of cervical cancer, I couldn't help but question why we need the vaccine at all,' said Joan Robinson, Assistant Editor at the Population Research Institute."
A poll released today by Basswood Research shows Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman surging into the lead in the special election in New York’s 23rd congressional district to replace John McHugh, the former congressman who recently became Secretary of the Army.
"Hoffman now has a wide lead among both Republicans and Independents, while Bill Owens has a wide lead among Democrats. Dede Scozzafava’s support continues to collapse, making this essentially a two-candidate race between Hoffman and Owens in the final week," concluded Basswood Research’s pollster Jon Lerner, who conducted the poll for Club for Growth.
Did Jeremiah Wright teach Barack Obama to hate America? Nothing else can explain the Democrat's mad plans for its citizens. The government debt burden is expected to total 56 percent of GDP this year. The U.S. Dollar is poised to be replaced as the world’s primary reserve currency. “Excessive debt is usually a predictor of subsequent trouble.” ObamaCare will sink America into financial ruin.
Columnist Laura Hollis in Time to Use the "C" Word (and that's not "c" for conservative) writes, Obama is "not a liberal, or a Democrat, or a progressive, or even a socialist." Think Communist! We noted the same when it was discovered Obama built his early career leading an effort to unseat an incumbent Democratic Senator for acting in a spirit of bipartisanship and voting across racial lines to confirm Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court. How did Obama defeat the Chicago Regular Democrats? With CPUSA and ACORN organizers' assistance.
Bill Laggner, the Co-Founder of Bearing Asset Management, gives an interview with King World News and discusses how the Obama administration's short term economic "solutions" that cover up the big problems with the current US financial system will likely lead to a very serious economic depression. The investment firm Bearing Asset Management returned a 134% return on investment in 2008. According to Bloomberg News, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke lost money in the stock market in 2008 when his holdings in annuities and other assets tumbled by as much as 29 percent. Message to Obama supporters: Please tell Obama thanks so much for retaining Ben Bernanke as the Federal Reserve Chairman!
States, out of money, cut spending on public schools. No problem, teachers unions simply demand less work for less pay. In Obama's home state of Hawaii, the "deal whacks 17 days from the school year for budget-cutting reasons and ... Hawaii's 171,000 public school students now find themselves with only 163 instructional days, compared with 180 in most U.S. districts. Hawaii's public education system is ranked 47th in the nation in eighth-grade reading and math ...."
The liberal media is having a "bad year" by reporting hoaxes as real news. In at least one case, a liberal group was behind the hoax. Now 63% of Americans think news stories are often inaccurate, which is the highest percentage ever.
The YouTube video, which some atheistic evolutionists love to hate, is nearly approaching 5,000 views and it hasn't even been made widely known yet! The YouTube video producer NephilimFree really skewers the contradictory behavior of many proponents of atheism. Congratulations NephilimFree! Ole!Ole!Ole!
A Conservapedian thanks us after her first two months at college: "I made a hundred on my first History quiz. I've also made 100's on several of my other quizzes and papers so far as well! So, thank you so much for all the great classes you taught during high school. I really feel like they helped prepare me for college tremendously. They definitely taught me how to study and take tests."
Al-Qaida and the Taliban: Knowing your enemy
Senior al-Qaida leaders are forging deeper relationships with Pakistani militants and often operating from their camps inside the Pakistan border, fueling Obama administration arguments for a shift in the Afghan war strategy that more narrowly targets the terrorists.
Now, however, forced to choose between sending more troops in an intensified counterinsurgency campaign against Afghanistan's Taliban or largely maintaining troop levels and using more drone strikes to take out al-Qaida along the border, U.S. officials must first determine which enemy is the greater priority.
"Democrats are abandoning Obama on global warming. Only 50% of Democratic voters in the U.S. agree with President Obama’s belief that humans are responsible for global warming, according to a new poll from Pew Research Center released today. ... Independent voters in the U.S., meanwhile, have stopped blaming humans for global warming in even greater numbers. Only 33% now blame us. ... Republicans are also abandoning the “blame human” stance, dropping from 27% last year to 18% this year."
Liberal scientists and evolutionists, that's your cue: your gig is up on this issue. Find another one now.
Virginia becomes conservative again: "Creigh Deeds, the Democratic candidate for governor of Virginia, has a Barack Obama problem. Obama won Virginia in last year's presidential race--the first Democrat to do so in 44 years--but his popularity in the state has plunged since then. Deeds is conflicted. Asked if he's an 'Obama Democrat,' Deeds said he's a 'Creigh Deeds Democrat,' whatever that is. And he's skipped two of three Obama appearances in Virginia during the campaign season."
"White House Loses Bid to Exclude Fox News From Pay Czar Interview. The Obama administration on Thursday tried to make "pay czar" Kenneth Feinberg available for interviews to every member of the White House pool except Fox News. But the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV networks decided that none of their reporters would interview Feinberg unless Fox News was included."
The liberal governor of New York rescinds his own department's mandate that all health care workers receive the H1N1 flu vaccine. The governor trails in his reelection campaign and the powerful nurses' unions opposed being required to receive the vaccine.
Once again, conservatism triumphs over liberalism! The North Dakota Chamber of Commerce website states: "North Dakota boasts low unemployment and a fast growing economy. Last year, the state's economy grew at the fastest pace of any in the US and unemployment, at just 4.2 per cent, is the country's lowest. A fertile mix of natural resources, frugality and a plains-state work ethic have made North Dakota one of the most productive states in the US. "It's the nature of the North Dakota people," John Hoeven, the governor, said in an interview with the Financial Times. They're more conservative than the average American.'" Well, well, well! They're more conservative than the average American! Imagine that!
And on the flip side, there's Michigan, with more than 15% unemployment; two cities "impoverished"; one city with a violent crime rate so bad that it's five times higher than the national average; a school system with 21,000 kids dropping out every year; and a tax-happy governor who doesn't know when enough is enough. Just who's in charge? The Democrats and their liberal/union allies.
"It's my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.
The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas."
The link between abortion and breast cancer is very clear. Breast cancer awareness organization Susan G. Komen for the Cure gave $711,485 to Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country. "It makes little to no sense for Komen to give money to an organization that exploits children, that exploits women, and covers up rape."
Jobless Claims Dent Recovery Hope.
The number of first-time filers for unemployment insurance rose last week, snapping two weeks of significant declines, according to a government report issued Thursday.
There were 531,000 initial jobless claims filed in the week ended Oct. 17, up 11,000 from an upwardly revised 520,000 the previous week, the Labor Department said in a weekly report. The week included the Columbus Day holiday.
Another claim of evolution is proven to be false: "‘Missing link’ primate isn’t a link after all; Expert: Ida is as far from monkey-ape-human ancestry as primate can be."
But don't expect any evolutionists to apologize for misleading again.

49 States and the District of Columbia have lost jobs since the economic stimulus package was enacted. While President Obama claimed the result of his stimulus bill would be the creation of 3.5 million jobs, the Nation has already lost a total of 2.7 million – a difference of 6.2 million jobs.
