Mikhail Kalashnikov, born in Russia in 1919, was the inventor of the AK-47. Since its invention in 1947, the AK-47 has been used by many diverse groups, including terrorist groups, and most armies of the developing world.
Kalashnikov now sells his own brand of vodka.
