Mpumalanga
From Conservapedia
Mpumalanga is one of the nine provinces of South Africa. The name is taken from the Swazi meaning the place where the sun rises. Mpumalanga lies in the eastern portion of the old Transvaal province, and between 1994 and 1995 was named "Eastern Transvaal" before assuming it's current name. It is bordered to the east by Mozambique, to the south by Swaziland, the east by Gauteng province and the north by Limpopo province.
Extensive mining is done within the province, especially for gold and platinum. Many of the towns in the area date back to the days of the gold rush, such as Barberton and Pilgrim's Rest. Other significant towns and cities include Nelspruit, the capital; Secunda, home of the SASOL 2 and 3 oil from coal plants; Middleburg; Witbank and Dullstroom, famous for its trout fishing.
The current premier of the province is Thabang Makwetla.
