N-Gage

Features
The original "Game Deck" was able to:
- Make phone calls
- Send SMS + MMS messages
- Play N-Gage branded / Symbian + JAVA games
- Install & run 3rd party Symbian & JAVA (J2ME) software
Additional features of included:
- Integrated MP3 player & FM Radio
- WiFi gaming via BLUETOOTH
- Mobile Internet (WAP) - the third party "Opera" mobile browser allowed the user to surf the web
Games
The games in general weren't well received. The N-Gage's graphics were marginally better than what was available for Nintendo Game Boy, as the N-Gage was capable of genuine 3D on a level similar to a Pentium 1 / Pentium 2 era PC. Game Boy games could be played on it via an Emulator, though the use of emulators and ROMs is illegal.
Technical issues
One of the main problems with the N-Gage was a common technical problem known as "WSOD", or "White Screen of Death", said to be caused by overfilling the phone's internal memory. The only way to fix this problem, beyond resetting the device, was to take the N-Gage to a NOKIA authorized repair center and have the Symbian firmware "reflashed". This resulted in losing all data stored on the phone.
