National Tea Party Unity Convention was intended to become the premier conference for the loosely-organized Tea Party Movement. Protesting against the out-of-control fiscal irresponsibilites in Washington D.C, the first conference was held in Nashville, Tennessee, with Sarah Palin as the keynote speaker.[1]

The second conference was to be held in Las Vegas, July 2010, but was moved back to October 14–16. It was ultimately cancelled with "deep sorrow" by organizer Barbee Kinnison.[2]

Judson Phillips' Tea Party Patriots was also involved in organizing the event, and sponsors would have included Free America, World Net Daily and The Leadership Institute. Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Pamela Geller and Joseph Farah were among the scheduled guest speakers, and many of the guests booked for July would have also likely given speeches: Sharron Angle, Lou Dobbs, Laura Ingraham, Andrew Breitbart, and Tom Tancredo.
