Nutty Squirrels
From Conservapedia
The Nutty Squirrels were a novelty musical group consisting of two fictional squirrels, actually the sped up voices of Don Elliott and Sascha Burland. The squirrels were named Shirley and Squirrely. They were created in response to The Chipmunks and had a Top 20 hit single in 1959, "Uh Oh, Part 2" and a cartoon series on TV in 1960. After three albums they disbanded in 1964. They made a brief comeback in the late 1970s under the names "Shirley and Squirrelly", and "Shirley, Squirrely, and Melvin". The hit single "Hey Shirley (This Is Squirrely)" featuring the two fictional rodents chattering over the CB radio barely missed the Top 40 charts in 1976.
