Operation Joshua was a CIA sponsored mission to bring Jews from Sudan to Israel.

It began in 1985, and was organized by Vice President George H. W. Bush as a follow up to Operation Moses. The operation brought an additional 800 Jews to Israel. In the next five years the transfer of Jews to Israel stopped, and did not resume until the end of dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam's regime.
