Otho Roman Emperor in 69 A.D. after turning on his 'friend' Galba, the preceeding emperor, with the help of the Praetorian guard. But His 'reign' was shortlived however, as his support in Rome was not matched throughout the empire. While he had his friend killed on January 15th, 8 legions of the rhine had already hailed Vitellius as emperor on January 3rd and he was marching to Rome. The first battle of Bedriacum took place on April 19th, and Otho was defeated. He then committed suicide, a footnote in the ranks of Roman Emperors.
